Whifflag modifier affecting shield pressure, please normalize it to the "non-modifier" version#85

When hitting someone’s shield with the additive whifflag modifier active, the game treats it whiffing a move.
Example, Wrastor’s Forward Air: with no modifiers the landing lag for the move is 10 frames. Using the whifflag modifers, hitting someone reduces that to 8 and whiffing put it at 12.
When you hit someone’s shield it also results in the landing lag of the move increasing to 12.
If you played “base” game, this kinda messes with the shield pressure sequences a bit and makes approaching worse. I’d like to see moves normalized to their non-modifered versions so that shielding isn’t buffed when whifflag is enabled. Thanks for reading!

I’d probably be able to take or leave either version, but considering the system change this patch brought, that made it so you can’t buffer options after hitting an opponent’s shield (this was a good change, btw!), I would probably agree that hitting a shield not counting as a whiff, as OP suggests, would be the better way of going about it.

(Edit: Or, perhaps, striking a middle ground between the two values, for hitting a shield? That could be interesting.)
