Game is great. Please consider Herra as a Remix Rival for Absa or Olympia.#488

For the unaware, Herra is a rabbit-like character from Creatures of Aether who trained with Hodan like Absa and Olympia. She’s about the same size and shape as both Absa and Oly, she apparently brawls like Oly, and she has lightning powers like Absa. I think she would be a great Remix Rival for either.

One one hand, she could be an Absa remix with some Olympia moves. Absa is one of the most common characters I see online, so an alternate take on her could increase character diversity. Herra has been shown to be a brawler, so maybe her projectiles would have less range and setplay potential in exchange for giving her stronger moves. Her new normals could be sometimes taken straight from Olympia, since that would be fairly easy and fit the type of fighter she’s been shown to be.

On the other – I prefer this idea myself – she could be an Olympia remix with some moves that are lightning-based or outright Absa-inspired, including some kind of unique lightning Hadoken. This option would allow some reuse of Absa mechanics and effects in new ways. Olympia isn’t played much right now, but I think an Oly remix with different special moves (i.e. a more forgiving recovery) would appeal to Oly players who quit her because she became too much of a glass cannon for them.

In either case, of course, Herra would be an Air character, and as a rabbit, she’s got a great reason to have a unique jump mechanic. Perhaps her double jump could have a Short Hop and a Full Hop variant, or it could have unique horizontal speed/accel properties a bit like Gouie, or it could get a boost when used near the apex of her short hop/full hop. Idk. Maybe you could even look into giving her and other future air characters unique jumps instead of them having to be specifically double jumps.

Anyway, whatever form she might take, if Herra hasn’t already been considered among the many possible Remix Rival concepts, I highly suggest it!

I love the idea of having Herra in the game, but I don’t want her to just become better Olympia when we already have Olympia. It would be kind of tragic if they made an echo fighter that is just her, but heavier and with an easier recovery since that could have just always been regular Olympia from the get go.

@Unrealanubis I can assure you that’s not the point of the request and I see no reason the team would make a remix rival to invalidate the character they’re remixing. Even the choice of replacing focus attack would make Herra play much differently.
