The HUD icons are a good step forward with learning the timing for each cooldown. I think additional accessibility features for anyone who plays hud off would be apprecieated. Some sort of small spark or overlay on the characters when their cooldowns come back online would help. Subtle audio cues like the ones Slade has for his upgrade tiers would give a lot more feedback to both players as well especially in the midst of scrap situations.
In addition I think a cooldown failure noise would probably go a long way in both onboarding new players, for players that frequently swap characters, or those that simply want to learn someone new. These sound effects could either be universal or tailored to each cooldown.

People play with hud off??

@weaselsnore #1MinaBeliever very rarely but I’ve seen it on random streams and for content creation. That’s admittedly more niche, but the main target is situations where people are hud blind and those elements are mostly in peripheral vision. Or ignored more outright in a newer player’s instance where they’re more likely to be confused when a move fails or is offline since it just feels like the input is being eaten.

Just let the maypul players know when Terry is about to fuck off, that’s all anyone ever wanted

Terry makes a sound that you can react to, there’s no necessity for an icon
