choosing mp4 when booting the game#419

I’m a fan of the character and event trailers being used when booting up the game but I also wish I could choose which gets played. I’m starting to miss the “what is a Rival” one specifically.

i miss the slade trailer…

Best way to do it is have it be an video file you can replace yourself so the games storage doesnt get bloated from Video files (I am struggling with PC space), and then the devs just give out the video files for the trailers so player’s can replace it themselves

I also really miss the “What is a Rival” intro. I’m already aware of the newest shiniest thing, I don’t need a reminder of it, I’d rather get hype for the game as a whole.

I hope that by the time this game launches on consoles, we have a proper attract mode intro. Melee’s opening cutscene used plenty of in-game footage and still managed to be hype as hell, I’d love to see what this game’s animators could do with a similar project
