Pretty sure I wrote this recommendation before on a previous nolt board, but I feel it needs to be brought up again now that we are having match making queues replaced with timed events. There is no items/hazards/FFA queue, so this problem is even more apparent.
Please allow us to use prefixed messages when hosting custom lobbies, so we can advertise what gamemode or settings we would like to use. Currently, a few of the currently enabled game modifiers are listed by the lobby browser. However, its impossible to tell beyond that what the host wants to do with their lobby. Examples of these template messages include:
-Teams, FFA, rotating 1v1, etc.
-Casual vs Competitive(having items or hazard stages on doesn’t immediately say what the host is trying to do; what if they want hazards but only 1v1?)
-Preferred skill level(new players looking for other new players)
-Trying new characters/want to fight (X) character(training with an emphasis on not using your main character)
-Long session(if a person intends to host a lobby for several hours at a time for custom settings)
-Preferred region(having a lobby state the regional server its using is not enough; that doesn’t say “Please don’t join if you are going to end up with 120+ ping””)
These custom titles should be used in conjunction with, not to replace, the hosts player name.
