Add the option to immediately continue playing with someone in Ranked after the set is over, but without affecting your rank.#373

Avatar Legends is adding their own ranked mode, and they’re implementing a feature of being able to play more games with your opponent immediately after a ranked set is over, but wins/losses post-set won’t affect your rank.

I play ranked primarily as a way to get games in with players close to my skill level, so being able to continue playing with someone for a longer time would be fantastic! I’m not sure how Ranked Medals would work for this, but I assume they would have to be excluded from these post-set games as well.

I’ve personally requested this and seen it requested before without a response from the devs. I’m assuming there’s some kind of technical difficulty or it’s simply too much effort for the payoff at the moment. I’d love to hear what the dev’s stance is on this.

I’d love to be able to “Rematch in Unranked” after a ranked set too.

I cant imagine its a technical difficultly, in custom games there is a runback feature that works really well, just holding both triggers and pressing a button at the match finish screen. Would love this option, even to continue with rank on the line, though thats exploitable.

if i recall correctly, type lumina also has an option to create a non-ranked lobby with an opponent you run into on ranked after the set is over. it’s nice to be able to keep playing with someone you’re having fun with or think you could beat if you had more time
