Drop of nourishment currently doesn’t really represent how it actually works in its source game (dungeons of aether). Like… At all. And that’s super lame. It should affect speed like it does in dungeons surely.
Additionally people want a faster Slade. But that would let him run away too well or something.
So… Here’s an idea. Probably a bad one but hey I thought I’d share it cuz it’s been on my mind.
Changes:
Drop of noruishment no longer heals when picked up while glowing.
Instead: when picked up while glowing, drop of nourishment now grants a temporary mild speed buff. This speed buff can be stacked with itself up to 3-4 times to become a pretty noticable speed buff.
Indicator for this buff is the player shining with blue light. The shine starts to flicker when the buff is approaching its end.
Speed buff being temporary and only earnable by hitting the opponent means it maybe wouldn’t encourage keep away. You wanna get as much out of that speed buff while you have it. No use using it to run around for like 5 seconds before it wears off… Maybe. Idk if I’m honest. it might encourage him to just sit there and fish for nourishment hits but he’s wasting money by doing that so.
Aight cheers for reading.

It might work better if you get the speed buff when you throw it. It gives Slade the potential to follow up on a hit, and if it does hit he can pick it up to keep the pressure longer.
