Queuing for online doubles with 2nd local player doesn't work#191

My casual Gouie playing doules partner and I need this highly awaited feature!

Right now, if you add a 2nd local player and queue for doubles in a lobby with Steam friends it works but if you add a 2nd local player and click team queue and then create lobby to find other random online players for doubles it doesnt work. The circle loading icon appears momentarily and then dissappears. The “Requesting a server” text never appears.

Also separate issue, going to the Lobbies queue and trying to join a public lobby that is “In-game” causes a crash everytime. You can only join a game that is in lobby.

It’s fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Amazing! Best devs ever for fixing that so quickly.

Actually @Tom Solacroup there’s still an issue. Public Lobbies (the right most queue) cannot be joined iwth the x2 2nd local player. It crashes immediately. It seems like it crashes more often if the lobby is ‘in-game’ vs ‘in lobby’

The 2nd local player for doubles seems to search now but I was unable to find a game and actually verify. Couldn’t tell if its because its not working or if its just because the dubs queue was empty

@Ferrari77 I tested with 3 accounts a matched very fast multiple times, and tested a few times with just 1 account and found a few matches with strangers. In practice it can indeed take a while though, maybe most people play 1v1 or free for all modes. Regarding joining lobbies that have a match in progress, yes there is a high crash chance in this scenario, we have been aware of this for a while and we’re not quite sure how to fix it yet.

Okay thanks, I’ll test out the 2 local player doubles on my end again and see if I just chose a bad time to queue yesterday
