Fusion characters for Remix Rivals#151

I’m super excited for Remix Rivals, I think they’re a great opportunity for the devs to get a wildly different character while reusing assets that already exist in-game, and some of the coolest platfighter characters ever started as clones (looking at you, Melee Falco).

Rushdown Revolt did character fusions for their clones and they ended up being really cool. I think this game has more than enough potential to do the same just by transplanting one character’s elemental gimmick onto another (in addition to whatever other clone changes you make). Maypul with Ranno’s Poison and Bubbles, or Loxodont with Etalus’ Ice could add a lot more variance to a character than just changing a few hitboxes or stats. Maybe we could get a faster version of Slade that uses magma stacks instead of the item and treasure-based gameplay we have now.

This is kind of what Brawlout did for theirs as well. The roster is kind of small but there were 3 versions of every character with different elements and mechanics.

Just saying, Loxodont with Ice would be a shoe-in for Polar Knight if the team wants a second Yacht Club Games crossover
