Make 90° moves easier to DI like spikes are#145

Several moves that send at or near 90° have been adjusted in the past because they were too consistent, like Fleet’s up tilt. Some, like Zetterburn’s up air sweetspot, still have very high consistency, making them quite hard to escape. The DI staling added in a prior patch has not prevented these moves from regularly being chained together 2, 3, or even 4 times in top-level play.

In the January patch, downward-sending moves were made more susceptible to DI to help compensate for the effect of gravity, which was making followups too consistent. I think a more limited, weaker version of this effect could be used for upward-sending moves – specifically, let’s say moves that send at 85° to 95°. This would allow moves to send at near 90° without having to be adjusted to be more escapable. Throws might get to be exempt from this rule, as they aren’t repeatable in the same way.
